Why We Don't Accept Credit Cards

Georgia Hot Tubs has been a DEBT FREE company from the beginning.

As a result, we operate differently than most companies in our industry. All of the parts we carry are paid for immediately. Our inventory is not dependant on managing credit accounts. So we, in turn, get the best deal on parts, which is passed on to you, our customer. While this is a smart policy, cost savings are not the primary reason we are debt free.

The Small Business Association statistics on new small business start ups place unpaid debt as one of the top five killers of entrepreneurial start-up companies. But this isn’t the reason we’re debt free.

More than one out of every two Divorces in America are directly related to money problems and overwhelming debt. As much as I love my wife, this isn’t the reason either.

According to the American Medical Association, stress is a major contributing factor in over half of the heart attacks and other cardio-pulmonary problems every year in the U.S. Not to mention the worsening of depression, anxiety and other mental disorders. Still, crazy as it seems, this is not our reasoning.

The real reason for us to be debt free can be found in Proverbs 22:7

…the borrower is slave to the lender.

Even if you do not agree with anything else contained in the Bible, we can all relate to the feeling of, “I owe, I owe, so off to work I go.”
